Designing for Zillow Offers
I started at Zillow on the marketing team, creating engaging content to support various initiatives. Shortly after, I was recruited to join the product team to work on Zillow’s new product, Zillow Offers. As the second designer on the team, I played a key role in shaping the UX and UI design for the product. I also worked on in-home print collateral and the IRL user experience, ensuring a seamless and cohesive journey for users looking to sell their homes to Zillow. This role allowed me to combine my marketing background with product design, delivering a well-rounded, user-centered experience.

Project 01: Zillow Offers Self Scheduling
A significant challenge in the early days of Zillow Offers was the time-consuming process of scheduling home evaluations, which required a Zillow Advisor to handle each appointment over the phone. To address this, I collaborated with the Zillow Advisor team to identify key pain points and free up their time for other critical aspects of the home-selling process. Through research and user testing, I developed a scheduling app that streamlined the process for both sellers and the Zillow team. This solution put more control into the hands of users, reducing bottlenecks and improving the overall efficiency of the Zillow Offers experience.

Project 02: Zillow Offers Sellers Dashboard
In the early days of Zillow Offers one of the most requested features from our home sellers was a dashboard to help understand where they were in the process. I started by mapping out the entry points, needs of the sellers and researching dashboard systems. Next came wireframes which lead to hi fidelity designs and multiple rounds of user testing to get it right. In the end not only did the customers find the whole process more straightforward and transparent, but the team of Zillow Advisors were able to cut down significantly on calls and correspondence.
